ASSOCIATE THERAPISTS

Jordan Fu, M.A.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #135262

The foundation of Jordan’s approach to therapy is a strong belief in the collaborative and relational therapeutic experience.  With warmth and empathy, Jordan creates a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients are free to explore the challenges they are facing, relational dynamics, and the nuanced language of their personal narrative.  Jordan’s curiosity of her clients’ internal mechanisms aids them in identifying unconscious methods of coping that have created barriers in their lives.  Jordan strives to provide care that is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative.  It is with openness, attunement, and a sense of humor that Jordan empowers her clients to live as a more genuine version of themselves.

Jordan holds an MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  Jordan received training in psychodynamic therapy from the Maple Counseling Center, where she worked with a diverse client population coping with a wide variety of clinical issues.

Zan has a warm and engaging style.  She works by creating a non-judgmental space in which feelings and experiences can be explored and reflected upon.  She seeks to understand your inner world, and what you may be unconsciously carrying around with you.  Through this process, new ways of relating to yourself and others become possible.  This can promote a livelier, more authentic way of living.

Zan earned her MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and her BFA from California Institute of the Arts.  She has received in-depth training in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy from Valley Community Counseling Clinic.  While at VCCC, she worked with a wide range of clients with various concerns including; anxiety, depression, obsessions/compulsions, anger management, substance use, trauma, disordered eating, grief/loss, relationship concerns, personality disorders, and family conflict.
